Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. Another newly discovered great song by Masha as in newly discovered by me. So many songs to excavate so to speak! Himawari means Sunflower. Lovely. Excellent song, a pity no translation at all. Melodic wise reminds me of Sakurazaka and Milk Tea but if Watashi wa kaze ni naru were to be sung slower, this would be very similar to that song. Really shows his singing prowess. The above video is from his 2002 concert. The song can be found in 5 Nen Mono album and The Best Bang!! compilation album. Romaji version taken from lyricstime.com.

The original singer was Maekawa Kiyoshi and the melody is still the same though the original was faster paced, and rather dated since he's an enka singer. You're welcome. It's a beautiful song with some of the loveliest lyrics I've ever heard so it'd be a shame not to share. Of course, it sounds a lot lovelier and more poetic in Japanese (because of the use of less words...it's kinda haiku-esque). My translation doesn't do it much justice at all, I'm afraid. I hope the meaning at least got across. It's pretty simple but that's what makes the song all the lovelier.
I've actually heard it before but only gave it a proper listen, like, yesterday, lol. There are some songs which I've heard snippets of here and there (radio shows, cms, tv interviews, etc) that I like but still have yet to put titles to. Oh well, one step at a time. Slowly discovering the world of Fukuyama-san that he took 20 years and counting to build is a pleasure that I spend a small part of everyday doing.
And go ahead and post it wherever you want. I haven't posted it myself on the forums because my registration hasn't been approved. It's been almost a month since I registered though so I guess for some reason, my request didn't go through. ^.^;;
Maekawa-san's version just had that lil' second chorus bit omitted. The rest are the same. I quite like the way the Enka singer sang it. It seems very fitting for the lyrics. =)

it wasn't much really. i thought they'd both be semi nekkid but turns out it's just the girl and even she's in her underwear. it's essentially a morning after scene so they're both still in bed. he's in this deep blue yukata watching the tv about the news pertaining to the case that unfolded in the movie, she's trying to distract him (she: is it me you're trying to get closer to or are you only using me to dig up dirt on my father? he: .........why, you of course. Your father has nothing to do with it.) and then it was all smooch smooch.
God damn it! Let him watch the news in peace!
