龍馬の大芝居 / ryuu ba no dai shibai / Ryoma's Great Hoax
The naval academy closes down and Ryoma, who remains ambivalent to go Satsuma, leaves for Osaka where he receives a visit from Mizobuchi who hands him a letter from Yataro. Back in Tosa, Izo is terribly tortured by Goto. Ryoma secretly returns to Tosa and gathers information on the murder of Toyo with a help from Yataro. Ryoma then lies to Goto that he had killed Toyo.

PLOT SUMMARY
Taken from fan forums for purposes of the plot only. Spoilers alert!

Finally he told the boys about his meeting with Saigo-san & that Katsu had wanted Saigo to take care of them. Ryoma carrying Choujiro's child. here come's Yataro's letter, telling the story of Izo & Takechi. Yataro is calling for Ryoma's help. Yataro can't even stand it anymore. Izo tortured badly. Ryoma's home. amily reunion, somewhat. Mizobuchi's telling them to shut it, but they're screaming in joy! He told them he is going to save Takechi san, asked them to disown him. Yataro is so tortured from not doing the right thing. Yataro was dragged to the barn by Mizo & Ryoma. he's mocking goto. Yataro could not believe Ryoma would do that (save Takechi by implicating himself). Even told Yataro that he would not bother his family as he is disown.

Next week.. The legendary quote, "kono kuni o sentaku suru koto ja" (probably 日本を今一度、洗濯いたし申し候?) aka "I need to clean (i.e. reform) Japan now". The final episode for Takechi & Izo. The final episode for Season 2.

A favourable thumbs up for today's episode. It's tense and suspenseful and Ryoma shows his manipulative side. Very intense pace.
