Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. I don't usually post about rankings but the following are some noteworthy ones, reported by River of MashaPlus Info Forums and not very recent by the way ...
"100 most influential Japanese people" as chosen on the internet [Source]
At 36th place is Masha
Then there's the Most Ideal Marriage Partner [Source], Masha tied with Takuya Kimura. Reason for the choice is "they had thought Kimura or Fukuyama would look after their family the best." Most Ideal Lover, winner is of course Masha. Why? "The most common answer had been that a lover was someone you had fun with, but a husband was someone who would bring safety and balance into your life." So Japanese women are not sure of he is the best husband material but thinks he will be the best lover material? Masha, they only want you for your body!
And finally, Drinking Buddy Of The Summer [Source], Masha came out on top. Asahi Beer effect? Reason? "Most of them mentioned how he always have an interesting story to tell." For detailed breakdown on this which is interesting, Masha was 3rd in 20s group but first in 30s, 40s and women group.

Frankly I am not concerned about the other ranking news except for the Most Influential. You may wonder who is no. 1?

I wouldn't take the list seriously. How can Masha be less influential than ...

19. Miyazaki Hayao (filmmaker) is no. 19? He should be no. 1 because he inspired a generation of animators beyond borders! He won the Oscar !

Japan changes PMs more frequently than I change my shirt!
Anyway the fact that Takuya Kimura, however popular and talented he may be is ranked higher than Miyazaki Hayao in a poll called Most Influential Japanese just means there is no credibility. And the fact that AKB48 is ranked so much higher than Masha who has influenced a generation of younger musician (now that it is cool for boy bands to admit they're die hard fans) just means this is idol popularity contest. Sorry but I don't buy this. And it is not sore loser fan of Masha speaking. I stopped believing when I saw Miyazaki Hayao is ranked so lowly.
