Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. Learning the Choshu clan's resolute stance on national isolation, Ryoma goes to see Kusaka, a Choshu leader, who advises Ryoma to stand up against foreign power regardless of the political pressure. Takechi urges Toyo to stand firm to the national isolation policy, however, Toyo, who remains loyal to the Tokugawa shogunate, brushes off his appeal. Feeling insulted, Takechi decides to kill Toyo. Meanwhile, Goto, Toyo's nephew who is envious of Toyo's favorable attitude towards Ryoma, orders Yataro to assassinate Ryoma.

I thought he was pretending because he wanted to see what were upto, but he sounds so passionate about it in Chosu..... Katsura Kogoro is from Chosu, so is Yoshida Shoin. They're talking about Shoin. Maybe he wants to go there to check out what's happened to him? Kao in Edo. She looked very nice. She received a secret letter from Takechi. Takechi wrote to Toyo but nothing is being done. And the men are in patience now. Goto (Toyo's nephew) is upset with his uncle. Again that name made Goto frustrated. Shock looked on Yataro's face when he saw Ryoma. Again that name made Goto frustrated. Shock looked on Yataro's face when he saw Ryoma. The newlywed came by running and find Ryoma back home. Ryoma is frustrated with the current situation. Evil Takechi is telling what he must do. Takechi's pride has taken a beating. End of Season 1 next week with Ryoma becoming a Ronin (deserter? stateless?).

17.7%. I am in total disbelief. 17.7%?! What happened? Is serious Ryoma the reason? The politics? Kao? Why are people tuning off? Or are they actually recording it so that won't count in the ratings?
(EDIT) River explained that "It's a three day holiday weekend. The residents in Tokyo decided to shut down everything and moves to the countryside for three days instead of putting themselves in front of the idiot box. Every program in the weekend suffered. So that's kinda expected."
Don't forget this is ratings for Tokyo area I suppose. What about the other areas? Nagasaki? Am I the only one who will sit in front of the idiot box if there is a 3 day holiday? I mean working the whole weekdays, weekends I can enjoy my favourite shows and so if given so much time, I will be bringing out my DVDs and all! But if I live in a house as small as those in Japan (average income and below, those are your viewers!), I too will take off somewhere else! Maybe they recorded the episode.
