Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. 亀山社中の大仕事/kameyama shachū no dai shigoto/The Kameyama Shachū's Critical Job
Katsura agrees with Ryoma's plan to purchase a ship and weapons for the Choshu clan under the name of the Satsuma clan. In Nagasaki, Ryoma negotiates his first business under his trading company Kameyama-shachu and approaches Thomas Glover, a Scottish trader. Although Glover at first turns down Ryoma's offer, with a help of Kei, a wealthy merchant, Glover is persuaded. Chojiro successfully closes the deal with Glover in private, however, Omoto, a geisha girl, overhears their conversation. Omoto bargains with Ryoma that she will keep the deal a secret if he does not tell anyone that she is a "hidden" Christian.
PLOT SUMMARY

Ryoma is the narrator for this episode instead of the usual Yataro.
Katsura received the letter from Ryoma, on Satsuma's decision. Ryoma's failed negotiation with Glover, who literally repeated I don't understand part in Japanese. It's Otomo's scene now. They stopped Ryoma who wanted to help a Christian lady. and now he stormed into the party...another negotiations are about to start, it seems. and he told them about Satsuma and Choshu. Otomo is listening behind the door. Chojiro driving a hard deal. Glover looks impressed. So Ryoma is sitting outside the room listening to Choujiro & Glover negotiating. They agreed on the price then. yoma & Otomo in a room. Confronting her in a private space. She is trying to seduced him.They were negotiating on the ship. Ryoma suspected that she (Otomo) is a spy.
Next week, Chojiro's episode,Chojiro is being accused of receiving under table money for negotiating the business with Glover by his own brothers at Kameyama Sachu and ordered to seppuku. Ryoma gets his gun and the Kameyama Sachu phototake.

How did Ryoma know Otomo is a Christian?
The part where Ryoma found out about Otomo's secret. Where Otomo has to pray when she sees the cross inside Glover's house. (Thanks to River for the explanation)
Is it is punishable offence by death to want to go to England to study or was it because he (Chojiro) received money from Glover which i see as a bribe?
in this drama, the former i.e. go to England without permission and probably because NHK doesn't want us to hate those Kameyama shachuu members, they change his seppuku reason a bit. (Thanks to Mashamasha for the explanation)

13.7% and before you hyperventilate, let me put across 3 points in favour of a celebration for getting this number, as put forth by Izumisano and as I agreed, I added some of my points too;
1. it is the highest rated show for its timeslot
2. it is 2nd highest rated for overall that day, the highest rated being a game show with 14.7%
3. it is not a true reflection of ratings because some medium are not taken into account, I believe BShi audiences are not counted, certainly we international audiences through paid TV are not counted, Keyhole TV users are not counted, those who recorded the show for viewing later are also not counted.
So basically, it ain't that bad. Really!
