Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. 大政奉還/taiseihoukan/Restoration of the imperial rule
Yoshinobu is staggered to receive Yodo's petition. Ryoma visits Yoshinobu's aide to help convince Yoshinobu that the only way to save the Tokugawa family is to accept the restoration of Imperial rule. Meanwhile, Yataro sells all the guns he had bought up, sensing that the Tokugawa shogunate will no longer be in power. Realizing the change of the times, Yoshinobu finally agrees to return the political power to the Emperor. Although Ryoma exults at the dawn of the new Japanese government, people harboring enmity against Ryoma starts seeking the life of Ryoma.

PLOT SUMMARY

There goes Yataro shouting at the merchants for mentioning Sakamoto Ryoma. Ryoma approaches the Shinsengumi. Ryoma is Yodo's representative. Yoshinobu's elder just asked Ryoma to leave after hearing him out. It seems everyone somehow thinks he's making sense. No-one has given a strong reaction to this idea. Not even Yoshinobu. Yoshinobu Tokugawa will make an announcement on his decision. Ryoma seems happy and content... Seems he already heard the news from the court. He's mentioning names of people in his heart. Just like the last near to death experience.. Also on the rooftop. At least he gets to meet Katsu for one last time. Yoshinobu has agreed. Tears of joy! The Chosu han are not too pleased. Kido remain silent. And Satsuma and Choshu don't look happy. Yoshinobu mentions Ryoma's name. He's on a celebration and met shinsengumi. Shinsengumi have come to attack. Katsu sensei to the rescue. Shinsengumi retreats. The celebration begun again.
Next episode is the last episode. Ryoma's hand. Yataro crying aloud. Bright flashing sword. Blood on face, hands, everywhere. Nakaoka Shintaro (Ryoma's bodyguard) has blood on his face too (the one that Satsuma/Chosu send to protect him). That shot of Ryoma smiling in the end, with 'Saraba, Sakamoto Ryoma' (Farewell, Sakamoto Ryoma). Just a hint. Ryoma gets assassinated. Not that is a major spoiler. The question is by who? Not even history can answer that.
