Welcome to All About Fukuyama Masaharu, part lyrics blog, part fan site, 100% about Masha. It started out as a blog around April 2009 to repost all English lyrics, but after a while I got a bit ambitious and posting many other things I can gather from the net, some pictures, some articles, mostly news in English from the perspective of a fan although you can find some translated articles in here. I do not pretend to say I take credit for the text in here; frankly I just search, gather, summarise, reword and repost. I will always include the name of the fan who said whatever I posted to the best of my ability but as you can see, my sources are mostly from 2 main fan forums of Masha that is not in Japan. My problem is I can't read Japanese or Chinese, but my persistence sometimes does pay off when I just keep looking. You will also find some pictures in here, but all of the pictures you don't see in here are in Facebook, just look for All Abt Masha. I am quite active in that Facebook page, and it is also a place to find information! My main purpose for this blog is for myself; to gather all lyrics in English under one roof. But I am very sure foreign fans can also benefit from the contents in this blog, and without the many wonderful foreign Masha fans who translate, discuss and share whether privately or publicly, this blog will never be what it is today. I am still hoping to find more English lyrics somewhere, although from the looks of it, I will say things have slowed down a bit. Anyway, have a look. Zankyo or as some spells it as Zankyou means Reveberation or Echo. It was released in June 2009 after a 3 year hiatus from his last compilation album and a full 8 years after his last studio album. He didn't disappoint. After backtracking on his albums and songs, I realise Zankyo is deeper on so many levels with the lyrics another milestone in his musical career. There are so many songs I love in here but this is also a darker and more morose album with songs about war and violenece as represented by Ultramarine, his moving ode to his grandmother who passed on earlier that year I believe, Michishirube to the grand song Phantom, super sad love song Saiai, a great musical instrument piece, 99 which like Saiai was featured in Suspect X the movie but the best of all, when you thought Masha is all serious, morose and love sick, he presents a song that is quite unlike his style that proves he is not just a ballad man, Koufukuron with great lyrics to match. In fact I am not surprised with the creation of Koufukuron actually, he has sang very uplifting song before but to hear it in this album amongst the tear jerkers, I find it unique and so addictive! One of my favourite albums of his, more so when his vocals has reached new heights in here, quite a vocal masterclass here. Great thing is this is probably the only album with all songs translated into English, all thanks to fans effort. Of all the lyrics, Michishirube moved me the most, not really because it was dedicated to his grandmother but because the words are so powerful and so true. Do check the lyrics out.
